After going to the 2014 Connecticut Food Truck Festival last Saturday (I posted about the festival here), our little group ended up at Stowe’s Seafood in West Haven, Connecticut.
They’re open until 7p.m. and they only accept cash. Here’s how it looks like inside.

My sister ordered the Cod Boat with french fries, cole slaw, lemon and tartar sauce. She already started eating before I took the picture.
My husband got Fried Scallops with the same sides.
I had Soft Shell Crab Sandwich that was fried to a nice crisp. I dipped it alternately in malt vinegar and tartar sauce. So yeah, I ended up eating the whole tasty crab.
I can’t believe that we haven’t heard of this place after living for so long here in Connecticut. This place is excellent! New England-style deep fried seafood in a no-frills joint with outdoor seating within walking distance to West Haven Beach. Turns out they’re pet-friendly too! We’re surely going back with our little fur baby.
