Eating Out: Maura’s Place by Mela and Mai | Antipolo City, Rizal, Philippines

Maura’s Place by Mela and Mai has been on my to-visit list for quite sometime. However, with the various forms of lockdowns due to the pandemic, we never really had the chance to visit until the first day of March 2022.

Maura’s Place is located inside Pagrai Hills Subdivision in Antipolo City, Rizal. It looks like a house converted to a restaurant.

Glad they have outdoor seating area!

They also have indoor seating, but we opted to sit outside. We decided to go for lunch, so there would be less people. When we got there, there were about 6 or 7 occupied tables, but thankfully, the tables were far apart. Yay for social distancing! 🙂

Now what did we eat?

My husband ordered their Lola Maura (Maura’s original beef tapa).

I tried their Mother Nora (Maura’s sweet beef tapa).

My mom ordered the Edu (boneless bangus in teriyaki sauce).

Verdict:

The place delivers on their promise of views of the metro.

However, we did not stay to wait for the sunset. That seemed like too long of a wait.

They offer more than enough food to choose from whether you visit morning, noon or night. They serve all-day breakfast food like waffles, omelettes, including rice meals with tapa, bangus, bagnet-style bacon, tawilis and home style fried chicken. They also serve chicken wings, pasta, pizza, coffee, tea, milkshakes, lemonade, soda and other refreshing beverages.

I’m glad that they have an outdoor seating area with picnic tables. They also seem to be expanding with more seating, so that’s good. They also have enough space for parking, so that’s a plus!

Well done for being wheelchair accessible! Not many restaurants are. It’s like they only welcome young people without considering senior citizens using canes and wheelchairs are possible customers.

The team was pretty good. They even assisted my mom while she walked with her cane.

All in all, it was worth a visit indeed. Thumbs up!
