The Aftermath: 22nd Annual Taste of Stamford (Part 2) | Stamford, CT

2015tasteofstamford-28Here’s the continuation of my recap of the 22nd Annual Taste of Stamford sponsored by the Stamford Chamber of Commerce at the Marriott Stamford Hotel & Spa.

Feel free to check out the first part of my recap here. Anyway. . .

Will you look at this very interesting centerpiece we saw at The Fairway Market of Stamford’s table?

They offered Poached Salmon with Dill Sauce for sampling.

The Capital Grille shared samples of their Kona Crusted Filet Mignon and Lobster Mac N Cheese. While the filet mignon was good, I really enjoyed the mac and cheese. What can I say? I love lobster. We also met Chef Chad Hafer.

Then we ate some Peruvian food courtesy of Fiesta Atlantic. These ladies manned the Fiesta Atlantic table.

They gave out Chaufa de Pollo and Papa a la Huancaina, together with teeny tiny cups of my favorite Chicha Morada.

Olio Restaurant presented their Albondigas with Guajillo Roasted Tomato Sauce, Cotija Cheese and Pickled Red Onions. It looked too pretty to eat, but we ate them anyway.

We met their Executive Chef/Owner Stephen Costanzo. Here he is hard at work yet still willing to have his picture taken. Thanks, Chef Steve!

I love cream puffs, so when I saw it on the menu, it was a definite must-have for the night. We found the Profiterole Cream Puffs from Columbus Park Trattoria. Such a sweet indulgence!

There were assorted cookies, mini cakes and parfaits from Di Mare Pastry Shop.

I headed to Robeks for their Hummingbird Smoothie, which had passion fruit juice, strawberries, mangoes and orange sherbet.

Before we left for the night, our last stop was VOLTA Gelateria Creperia for their Nutella crepes.

Will you look at that?

Now here’s the finished crepe.

Overall, the event was really well-organized and well-attended. The registration process went very smoothly. There was an abundance of good food and plenty of exhibitors. Thanks to this event, we discovered more eating places to add to our must-try list.

If you’ve never attended this event before, make sure to go next year. As first-time attendees, we’re happy that the positive feedback from previous years were all justified. We definitely enjoyed this event. The 22nd Annual Taste of Stamford was truly an evening of gastronomic delights.
