It started as a new year’s resolution…

. . . this whole baking idea. A resolution from way back 2013 that proved to be a busy and challenging year on the work front. It wasn’t until the last month of 2013 that I had the chance to bake from scratch. My brother-in-law deemed Christmas Day was the perfect day to teach me how to bake from scratch. What he chose as my first experiment was something that is possibly the toughest thing to start with for a baking newbie like me – brazo de mercedes.

After succeeding somewhat, I felt like I can take on anything. Thus, my Bake 10 Project for 2014 was born.
