Eating Out: Café Cristina | Antipolo City, Rizal, Philippines

We’ve passed by Boso-Boso Highlands Resort and Hotel while traversing the Marikina-Infanta Highway time and again. Little did we know about its on-site cafe, Café Cristina, with a view-deck overlooking mountain views.

Then I found out about Café Cristina and that they actually have three branches in Antipolo City: (1) the main branch in FBM Building along ML Quezon Street; (2) the branch inside Boso-Boso Highlands Resort and Hotel along the Marikina-Infanta Highway; and (3) the Cristina Villas branch off Taktak Road. We were after the mountain views, so we went to the branch on the ground floor of the Boso-Boso Highlands Resort and Hotel. I don’t know and I have never been to the other two branches, so I can’t talk about those. Maybe we’ll check out those locations in the future.

Anyway, the Boso-Boso branch is about 35 kms away from us (about 22 miles away). If we want to eat breakfast there, then we must leave Quezon City early. So that’s what we did.

There were only two tables occupied when we arrived. We didn’t even have to wait to be seated because the servers promptly led us to the outdoor seating area. Our table had mountain views. Yay!

Since we were hungry from the drive, we ordered our food immediately.

English Breakfast for him and Adobo Flakes for me. 😋

Verdict:

While the restaurant was in a resort, we didn’t go around to check the grounds. We sat at our table outside, watched the birds flying from tree to tree, and mostly enjoyed the views. There really wasn’t anything more we wanted to do, after all. It was a good spot for some quality talk time.

The service was pretty efficient, so I have no complaints about it. We got seated quickly without any wait time. Our servers took our orders after we’ve settled in our seats, and they were pretty quick to serve our food. Overall, we are glad to have visited Café Cristina and enjoyed breakfast while soaking in some relaxing mountain views.
