Food Flashback: Stacy’s | Capitol Greenstreet, Quezon City, Philippines

I heard about Stacy’s from a cousin of mine. Out of curiosity, I went there with my mom and my sister when I was in the Philippines.

I loved the ambiance and the interiors. I loved it so much that I kept taking pictures while we waited for our food. “Darling” was the word that came to mind. Throw in “dainty”, “sweet” and “pretty”, but do not be deceived. Some of the artwork were sassy.

Cute, right?

Since I love drinking tea, naturally I ordered a pot of passion fruit tea to go with my meal.

My sister ordered Home-baked Chicken Parmesan described in their menu like this: “Everyday food has never been this tasty! Baked chicken fillet in Italian herbs and chunky tomato sauce layered with oodles of Parmesan and mozzarella cheese, served with a cup of steaming herbed rice.” Oodles of cheese, man! What’s not to like?

Our mom ate Herbed Cream Dory Fillet with Aioli Dip. See the description from the menu: “Everyone’s favorite fish made more delectable with a shower of fresh herbs, aromatic garlic and sweet-tangy lemon, lightly fried in olive oil and served with aioli dip, buttered veggies and steaming white rice” How can you resist?

As for me, Stacy’s was where my search for omu-rice ended. I’ve been searching for omu-rice after seeing it in the Korean drama “Rooftop Prince“. When I saw it on the menu, I was only too happy to order their Waikiki Omu-rice, “Caramelized spam like you’ve never tasted it! Pan-grilled in brown sugar and folded into buttery mushroom fried rice, wrapped in a yummy cheesy two-egg omelette. Served with creamy Japanese mayo, tomato blend ketchup and fiery hot sauce for that added kick!” My search was finally over.

Oh, my sister also had a bowl of Creamy Wild Mushroom Soup.

Now, will I go back to Stacy’s if given the chance? Sure!

The place wasn’t crowded when we went there. We were seated immediately and our orders were taken promptly. Price-wise, Stacy’s was pretty reasonable.

Hopefully, the next time we go there, I’ll get to try their breakfast offerings.
