Eating Out: Cafe Lalo | New York, NY

Hope you had a good Memorial Day!

Hubby and I spent Memorial Day in the city. We left our place at 7am, ready to start our day walking across George Washington Bridge. Why cross the bridge? Just because. Almost an hour later, breakfast was all we could think of.

I had my heart set on eating breakfast at Cafe Lalo. I’ve eaten there before and I wanted my husband to try the food. We ordered from their International Brunch menu, specifically the British and Parisian breakfasts. The British had “[S]teamed eggs with your choice of fresh herbs. Served with Devon cream, scone, and fruit preserve.” The Parisian, “[F]reshly baked croissant, butter, fruit preserve and organic cafe au lait or tea.” In my hurry to eat, there’s no picture of the Parisian breakfast. You’ll see the British breakfast below.

Once again, Cafe Lalo did not disappoint. I just love the relaxed ambiance. If we lived close by, I’d definitely go here frequently.
